I’m lucky to be one of the few peeps you’ll ever meet that truly enjoys their career and their employer. That being said, repeated ad nauseum, & said again: I’m excited to post a link to AgencyNet’s new demo reel.
The team that put this video together did a fantastic job at showing off some key pieces of work we’ve accumulated over the past years. Having the projects that consumed so many hours to make highlighted so well, showing off and flexing some of our muscle at AgencyNet is fantastic. Congrats to the whole team on a job well done.
I look forward to screwing it all up, by dropping some new hotness on the internets, that they’ll have to edit, preen, and squish into the already existing demo reel.
Cheers.

New wallpaper, furthering playing with shape, color and texture. Basic shapes created in Illustrator and bought into Photoshop for texture and color. I’m trying not to create anything literal and sort of just make something I find interesting.

I promised myself to get some sleep tonight, but I tell myself that every night.
Inspiration strikes at the oddest times, and I’ve learned to just roll with it. I’ve been wanting to explore geometric shapes further, so this is an attempt at playing with space and color for no purpose other than aesthetics, color-play and texture.
This is heavily influenced by the work of Scott Hansen, whose blog I follow almost daily & Olly Moss; although I cannot attempt to really do their styles justice. I’ve always been obsessed with subtle use of color, texture mixed with strong simple shapes.
Playing with geometric shapes is something I intend to explore further.
I’m pleased for my hours work.
Hopefully the wallpaper looks shit-hot on my iPhone.

This mixtape sort of surprised me. I didn’t go in with a theme, but an old meets new, vintage-y pop thing sort of emerged from all the music I’ve been listening to. It’s a pretty mellow mix. I almost had to step back and make sure I wasn’t depressed for putting together such a chill mix, but I’m actually pretty content. Maybe my mind is subconsciously seeking soothing sounds…
This will definitely be a good mix for working and getting productive to.
I don’t like going into every artist I put on the mixes but I’ve been listening to a lot of Black Keys lately. A good friend Tom turned me onto them a couple months ago. At first listen, I wasn’t a big fan. I think I didn’t initially like them because they kind of sound like what I sound like when I plug in my guitar at a party when I’ve had a few beers and maybe it “sounded a little too close to home.” Whatever the case, I included one of their songs on this mix that I felt matched the rest of the songs as best it could. I’m actually ashamed I didn’t know about this band.
Another artist that has really surprised me is Andrew Bird. His instrumentation and arrangements are clean, yet not overproduced, walking the thin line between artistry and pop sensibility. The rest of the Noble Beast album is really worth the listen. Everyone lately sort has been sounding the same to me, and Andrew Bird fits into my musical landscape very well, but is pretty unique.
Hope you enjoy. Leave some comment love if you dig:
